LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION
In March 2006 has been ongoing wave of Local Government Election - Election-(Governor / Lieutenant Governor, Regent / Deputy Regent, and mayor / Deputy Mayor) directly. Seen from the point of democratic procedures, direct elections have managed to achieve these goals essentially, first, produce regional leaders through a democratic election mechanism-free, fair and without violence. Second, Viewed from the angle of rotation of the interests of local leadership on a regular basis, direct election is a continuation of the practice of previous elections. But he at once put a new tradition, because for the first-time change the method from direct election by parliament towards direct elections by any citizen in an area. Third, direct elections have been laying a new foundation for the ongoing process of political education community more widely. In my view, the direct elections are one of important areas of political education for us.
