INTRODUCTION
A.
Background Of The Research
Teaching and learning process
is essentially a pattern of interaction between learners with educators. A
student is said to learn if it can figure out something previously understood,
can do or use something that previously could not be used include certain
attitude they have. Instead of a teacher who is said to have been taught when
she has helped students to acquire the desired changes.
Teachers as facilitators in
teaching and learning in charge to create conditions that allow the
teaching-learning process more effective and efficient. Prior to teaching,
teachers should plan teaching activities in a systematic, so it can be skilled
in teaching and learning.
Skilled teachers should make
efforts to increase student achievement, it is the responsibility of all
teachers in obtaining quality human resources to achieve this on a teacher is
required to have teaching skills such as questioning skills, provide
reinforcement of skills, skills to give variety, opening and closing skills
lessons, classroom management skills, skills to guide small group discussions
and skills to explain. Thus the teaching skills must be constantly developed by
teachers to achieve teaching objectives.
In the implementation of
teaching and learning process would not be separated from a problem to be faced
by both teachers and students. If the note about the learning process, then we
can assume that one of the negative symptoms as a barrier and the difficulties
are very prominent in teaching and learning is low in developing teaching
skills.
In teaching and learning of
methods that can be used in the context of delivering a field of study. But the
methods that have been there that sometimes do not guarantee a success. It
depends on the teacher how to choose an appropriate method and match the
material submitted or during the process of teaching and learning, all of it is
the ability and skills of teachers in analyzing all of the methods and mastery.
The author feels the need to discuss issues of teaching skills of teachers to
student achievement in SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan. For outstanding teaching skills
will determine whether or not the subjects taught. English Thesis Proposal

Problem of the research
Based on the description it is
to provide operational direction in order to seek the determination of
withdrawal measures kesimpilan significantly. So operationally authors
formulate some points the following issue:
1. How can teaching skills of teachers in SMP
Negeri 1 Peusangan?
2. How is student achievement in SMP Negeri 1
Peusangan?
3. Is there a significant effect between the
teaching skills of teachers to student achievement in SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan?

CHAPTER II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
A.
Outline of Thesis Contents
This thesis contains five
chapters, with each chapter consisting of sub-chapter of chapter one with the
other chapters and is a series of chapters one to another Chapter: The first
chapter, contains an introduction about the background, formulation of the
problem, hypothesis, understanding the title, purpose and usefulness, and the
outlines of the contents.
The second chapter, which
contains a literature review of the theories relating to the title of this
thesis, which contains explanations of the teaching skills of teachers, namely
understanding, the importance of teaching skills for a teacher. Then
understanding student achievement and the factors that influence student
achievement.

CHAPTER III
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
A.
Population and Sample
In a study on the object that
is usually faced with a problem commonly referred to as populations. This is
very important, because the relationship with the determination of the source
data to be studied. Similarly, the sample, which is part of the population,
have an equal importance to the population.
